Cover Girl Smoochies In #Selfie First Impression/Review/Swatches.

I went to walmart the other day only to get the baby lips and I saw they came out with a new Cover Girl Lip Smoochies Line and saw this beautiful pink shining in the display section and I thought to myself "Oh Shawna you have enough pinks" but I had to pick it up and see what the hype of these lip products was about. First off the packaging is adorable, the colors go really good together and its not a cheap kind of packaging either. The way they wrote the words on the packaging was cute as well and very different from any lip product I own. Second the price was an ok price I thought it was a decent price for drugstore anyways so I took it and bought it. When I first came out I opened the packaging and it comes with a good amount of product, it has a very light smell of berries but the taste is weird if it gets into your mouth which is a turn off for me sort of has that taste of play dough like... ew. But I really liked the moisture of this lipstick. The color was so pretty and pigmented and shiny all at the same time. I died and went to makeup heaven because this color is stunning and is a totally different pink than what I have in my collection. This pink has a blue undertone as you can see on my lips (: overall I really recommend this product and if you guys purchase this let me know.

EOS 101

EOS Lip balms review && more. (:

I decided to do a review on the EOS lip balms because first of all they are extremely adorable and second of all the smells are fantastic..... well for some(; EOS lip balms came out a few years back and have been popular ever since. You're probably wondering what "EOS" actually means right? I mean I always wondered to and now we don't have to :D the actual meaning is "Evolution Of Smooth"!! Not only do they sell lip balms but they also sell shave cream & hand and body lotions! I mean how awesome is that? But today I am focusing on their lip balms. I have repurchased one all ready! Yes, I finished one and I am almost done with TWO more!! How exciting?(: Anyways let's get started with this review shall we? I know you're probably done with my ranting haha(:

FIRST IMPRESSION: So when I first purchased an EOS I got the flavor "Sweet Mint". I didn't know how to feel at first because I thought "well it's just another lip balm" and the packaging was very bulky, Those Walmart check out lines always get you (;. I took it home and unwrapped it. To my surprise the smell was just like mint gum! I was in LOVE. The packaging was just not my favorite and I remember carrying it in my purse for a few weeks and the packaging got really dirty and scratched up but the product was too good and I used it all up. I was so pleased with how well the product actually moisturized my lips but the down side was it didn't last long. I remember the first day I reapplied it every few hours, which sucked on my part... Grr. 

FLAVORS & PRICING: EOS has tons of flavors to choose from but I can't just pick one so I am going to list the flavors for you! STRAWBERRY SORBET, POMEGRANATE RASPBERRY, SUMMER FRUIT, SWEET MINT, BLUEBERRY ACAI, HONEYSUCKLE HONEYDEW, MEDICATED TANGERINE, LEMON DROP WITH SPF 15. There is also some limited edition ones as for example PASSION FRUIT! The prices are anywhere's from $3.29-$3.99 and you can find them ONLINE, WALMART, WALGREENS ETC. 

PROS: First all these are very inexpensive, a lot of product, not to hard to find and have a flavor for basically anyone and everyone, not harmful for kids to use as well, moisturize.

CONS: Basically the moisture doesn't last very long, have to reapply every few hours. Packaging is bulky and not easy to travel with. The packaging also can get very dirty and scratched up. The limited edition ones only last for a few weeks to a month (in my opinion) and can hardly find them. Haven't came out with a new flavor... yet(;

OVERALL REVIEW: I highly recommend this product, as long as you don't mind reapplying every few hours. This product has a nice feel to it on your lips and the scents aren't strong as some of those lip balms out there. They smell how they say they do. The pricing is cheap with how much product you actually get and one can last you a few months.

Maybelline Baby Lips Crystal Collection With Swatches!

Baby Lips Crystal Collection!

Here is the four from the collection that I picked up! As you can see the colors are not as pigmented but if you look closely you can see the shimmer. The colors I picked up are Gleaming Coral, Crystal Kiss, Pink Quartz and Beam Of Blush. The two nudes were pretty but these caught more of my attention. Overall this collection is a hit and miss for me!! I will have the pros and cons down below as well as prices, color selections etc. (:

PROS:

1. Pretty packaging

2. Shimmery

3. Cute names

4. Inexpensive

CONS: 

1. Not very pigmented.

2. Rough on the lips.

3. Colors / Smell are to similar to the other collections.

4. Not moisturizing

Maybelline Baby Lips Hit Or Miss?!

Are The Maybelline Baby lips Really Worth The Hype & Which Collection Is Better?

So Maybelline first released the original baby lips in or around 2011. The first collection had the following colors / or flavors Quenched, Peppermint, Cherry Me, Grape Vine, Peach Kiss, Pink Punch! They are very moisturizing and the colored ones had a tint while the first two are actually clear but make your lips feel fresh and alive. The collection was a big hit in my eyes considering I have almost owned the entire collection and I used up the first two and still need Cherry me. They came with a lot of product and were around $2.99 to $3.99 depending on where you went. 

After, Maybelline decides to come out with a collection called "Electro". Although the colors seemed fun and summery some didn't have good pigmentation :/. This collection was released around the summer of 2013. They had the following colors / or flavors in Pink Shock, Fierce N Tangy, Berry Bomb, Oh! Orange, Minty Sheer, Strike A Rose. I was hoping for a better pigmentation but the smells were amazing. Sadly these weren't as moisturizing as the original collection. These were around the same price ($2.99-$3.99) depending on the store you went. I really liked Fierce N Tangy and Oh! Orange just because the rest were so similar to the original baby lips. 

Next Maybelline surprises us with another collection of baby lips. This collection was strictly for chapped lips since it did have medication in the lip balm which sucked and I didn't pick any of these up for that reason. The collection was called "Dr. Rescue"! The colors / or flavors that they came out with are Too Cool, Pink Me Up, Just Peachy, Soothing Sorbet, Coral Crave, And Lastly Berry Soft. This collection I don't know much about but seeing swatches and smelling my friends this collection was not my favorite. Yeah, they had a tint of color but not as a good pigmentation as the original collection. If you guys want to write your opinions as well down below go for it (: This collection went from $3.00-$4.49 which is a little higher than the first two collections released. 

I also heard Maybelline came out with a limited edition Pink'd collection. Sadly, I missed out ): and you can only find them on Ebay, and or amazon. I have no further information regarding any of the baby lips limited edition ones because I personally don't own them. Sorry in advance. But you all are more than welcome to leave any comments you have / had on the limited edition baby lips!

Lastly, Maybelline has just released this year July 2014 a new collection of baby lips called "Crystal". I went straight to the store and picked up the two that actually caught my attention. These baby lips have very pretty and sparkly packaging! The pigmentation is not as good this time but it does have shimmer in the product. The colors / or flavors range from Pink Quartz, Twinkling Taupe, Mirrored Mauve, Crystal Kiss, Beam Of Blush, Gleaming Coral. Now I can tell you I am getting kind of sad that the color ranges for these baby lips stick around to only nudes, pinks, oranges and purples :/ I wish they had more reds and like more colored selections. This collection was rough on my lips! I will be posting swatches of all the ones I have and which is my favorite to least favorite but the prices are depending on where you go which I will also have the price info in the next post. 

Overall Review: I really think the original baby lips won for me considering the pigmentation is what got me and the cute names and the different color choices. I don't like the way they repeated smells and colors and I wish they had more color choices. I am hoping the next collection has a crazy color like blue or green haha (wishful thinking.)
